The Big News

As many of you know, we are tenants here on our farm and the farm has been sold. We have loved growing our family and business here with you all in North Burlington over the last 6 years.

Now, the time for change has come, we are required to move on from our farm here and will be gone by October 31.

The wonderful news is that we have managed to buy the farm of our dreams.

101 aces with a beautiful heritage home and barn. There are fields, gardens and fence rows. Hardwood forests and cedar forests, swamps and wetlands and a creek. So much space for us to grow the farm as we have always wished.

Where? Where? Is it nearby?

No. It’s in the stunning hills of Kawartha Lakes, 5 minutes from Omemee, Ontario. The flip side of the gta friends.

But do not fret. We have plans.

Plans to invite you to our new farm.

Plans to continue to bring our meats to you here in Halton.

It will be a lot of work but we hope to be partly settled and producing meat again by late spring/early summer. With deliveries to Halton on at minimum a monthly basis but quite possibly more often. We hope to put some options out to you, our customers, once we have them settled.

And on top of that. We most sincerely wish to continue to include you in our farm. One of our first projects we wish to undertake is the construction of accommodations to have you come enjoy the new Featherstone.

Over the years, I’ve seen how people love to come see the animals, walk the fields and have their kids enjoy the freedom that playing on the farm allows. In the next year we intent to offer you the opportunity for farm stays and more interactive farm involvement.

More information to come very soon on this exciting project. Stay tuned.

Well. There it is friends.

It’s official. A wonderful new beginning to look forward to.

Thank you for everything and we look forward to new adventures with you.

  1. We wish you well in this wonderful venture. Wondering if you will have turkeys for Thanksgiving this year?
    Good luck!
